Name: "Smooth"
This is my first electric guitar ever, which my parents bought for me in 2006 for my 14th birthday. They got it at Tiga Negeri Music in Bandung. I didn’t actually like this guitar at first—not only because of its model, but also because it was way too heavy for a 14-year-old me.
Later on, it ended up covered in a bunch of stickers and carelessly modded. Originally, it was a string-through body style, but I took it to some random local repair shop and asked them to put a wraparound bridge on it to mimic a PRS. It even got thrown around during its first-ever show when I played it at my high school graduation. This was my main axe until 2010, after which it spent most of its time unplayed and collecting dust.
In late 2025, I finally decided to take it to Stranough Guitar Tech to get it fixed up and properly modded. Now, it features:
Tuners: Gotoh Locking Tuners
Frets: Hosco Stainless Jumbo Frets
Pickups: A Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set (SH-2n in the neck and SH-4 JB in the bridge)
Bridge: Vox MaxConnect Bridge
Electronics: A Pure Tone output jack, the original three-way toggle switch, and two Gotoh 500k potentiometers.
I’m not entirely sure about the wiring style, but it has a .022 Orange Drop capacitor on the tone pot and a treble bleed on the volume pot, so it's likely a modern wiring setup. Lastly, I peeled off all the old stickers and slapped on a single Rat Fink sticker.
